1. General installation requirements of SPD

The surge protector is installed with 35MM standard guide railFor fixed SPD, the general installation should follow the following steps:

1) Determine the discharge current path

2) The wire marked for the additional voltage drop caused at the terminal of the device.

3) In order to avoid unnecessary induction loop, PE conductor of each device should be marked.

4) Equipotential connection is established between the device and SPD.

5) Multistage SPD energy coordination is requiredIn order to limit the inductive coupling between the protected and unprotected parts of the device after installation, certain measurements are required. Mutual inductance can be reduced by separating the inductive source from the sacrified circuit, selecting the loop Angle, and limiting the closed loop region. When the current-carrying component conductor is part of a closed loop, the loop and induced voltage are reduced as the conductor approaches the circuit.Generally speaking, it is better to separate the protected wire from the unprotected wire, and it should be separated from the ground wire. At the same time, necessary measurements should be made to avoid transient orthogonal coupling between power cables and communication cables.

2. Grounding wire diameter selection of SPD

1) Data line: more than 2.5mm2; When the length exceeds 0.5 meters, it is required to be greater than 4mm2. YD/T5098-1998.

2) Power line: when the cross-sectional area of phase line S≤16mm2, ground line S is used; When the cross-sectional area of the phase line is 16mm2≤S≤35mm2, the ground wire is 16mm2; When the cross-sectional area of phase line S≥35mm2, the ground line requires S/2; Clause 2.2.9 of GB 50054.
